His pioneering work—from delivering GaAs HBT/BiFET technologies to enabling reconfigurable mm-Wave SoCs—powers modern wireless infrastructure. With memberships in the U.S.

UCLA Mobility LAB
The UCLA Mobility Lab, affiliated with the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies and led by Associate Professor Jiaqi Ma, leverages AI, robotics, control theory, and urban analytics to develop intelligent mobility and smart-city infrastructure. From deploying sensor-rich “Smart Intersections” to building large-scale agent-based simulation tools like LA Sim, the lab pioneers real-time, resilient, and adaptive data systems.
